Happy Halloween!

Tonight I hit the streets with a princess, Superman, a witch, and a butterfly.
Please note that the princess selected all her own jewelry, minus the crown.  Tell the girl to get some necklaces and she delivers!

She's not sure what all the excitement is for, but she is ready to go!

Last year Hannah stayed in the stroller for trick or treating.  This year, she managed about 5-6 houses and then I stuck her in the stroller where she contentedly rode for the rest of our excursion.  She got a little confused with neighbors opening the door to their home to her and thought that meant it was an invitation to come in.  It took several minutes to convince her to leave one house.  It didn't help that she loves their black lab, which is why I think she walked right in!

The kids finished the night with their bags full.  The candy has already been sorted with a separate pile made for a local dentist who will give money for candy brought in.  The dentist will send the candy to the troops overseas.  Since Ava has already had two crowns recemented in the last year, it was easy to convince everyone to give up all the sticky candy.  We still have a good size bowl (currently sitting on top of the fridge!) with chocolate candy that we like and can eat without issues.

The little people had lots of fun running door-to-door!  It will be interesting to see how next year is when Hannah is over 2.5 and more excited by what's going on!
